Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries

Sun 20 – Tue 22 Sept 2015

Nordisk Panorama Forum is the annual meeting place and funding event for Nordic documentary professionals, looking to connect with a variety of Nordic and international decision-makers from TV, film institutes and regional film funds.

Featuring pitching sessions and pre-booked individual meetings, Nordisk Panorama Forum offers a professional platform to network and do business in addition to an intensive educational experience for observers and film school students.

More than 280 professionals from 24 countries attended NP Forum 2015. 24 projects pitched in public and more than 20 observer+ projects were presented in individual meetings with decision-makers. Over the course of the two afternoons more than 500 meetings were scheduled between selected projects and decision-makers and even more took place on the spot.

In 2015 we introduced a new initiative: the outreach clinic where campaign organiser Ben Kempas shared his experiences and gave advice to forum participants on how to do outreach. This was very well received and participants kept Ben busy throughout the forum.

NP Forum 2015 also welcomed a delegation of Italian producers, organised by Doc/it and two Italian projects were part of the official forum selection. We hope that many good connections were made.

The 2015 edition of NP Forum secured a good international representation. International broadcasters represented were ARD / NDR, ARD / ARTE, ARTE France, ARTE G.E.I.E., RAI 3, BBC, The Guardian, VPRO and POV / PBS along side the Nordic public broadcasters and a good number of international sales agents and distributors. Also present were the Nordic film institutes, many Nordic regional film funds, the BRITDOC Foundation and this year we were happy to welcome Cinereach for the first time.

Thank you to all participants for three intensive days of networking, pitching and discussing the selected projects.
