Meet Us in Copenhagen at CPH:DOX
The Nordisk Panorama team is attending CPH:DOX in Copenhagen (6-16 November). Director Katrine Kiilgaard, Forum Manager Christina Jul Gregersen, Programme Manager Lisa Nyed and Festival Producer Monalisa Sundbom will be there to expand the international network and promote the new films available at Nordisk Panorama Market Online, our free online streaming service for international tv-buyers, sales agents, distributors and festival programmers.
There are lots of Nordic and not least Danish films at CPH:DOX. At the pitching forum CPH:FORUM 10 Nordic projects will be presented out of a total of 30 selected projects.

Lots of Nordic Docs & Projects at IDFA
At IDFA, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, (19-30 November) no less than 30 films from the Nordic countries can be enjoyed in the different sections of the festival and the Nordisk Panorama team will be there promoting Nordic docs through Nordisk Panorama Market Online.
The Nordic countries are also very well represented at the IDFA Forum with 9 Nordic projects out of a total of 51 in the official selection, which means that no less than 18% of the projects have Nordic input. 5 of the projects have also been presented at Nordisk Panorama Forum and we’re looking forward to following them at IDFA. On top of this the project Varicella by Victor Kossakovsky, produced by Sant & Usant AS, Norway will be presented in a special case study pitch for the Kids Documentary Round Table.
Katrine Kiilgaard, Christina Jul Gregersen and Lisa Nyed will be at IDFA. Katrine and Christina will be attending the IDFA Forum where Christina will be present as a matchmaker, facilitating interaction between forum participants.

Reykjavík Host of North-West Film Meeting
With the aim to increase the cooperation with the Faroe Islands and Greenland, the Danish Film Institute and the Icelandic Film Centre have teamed up to host the North-West Film Co-production seminar in Reykjavík on 23-25 October. Nearly 30 film professionals from these four countries will attend the event initiated by Noemi Ferrer, International Producer at the Danish Film Institute and Laufey Gudjónsdóttir, CEO at the Icelandic Film Centre.
The initiative will kick off on Thursday 23 October with a panel discussion on how to co-produce with Denmark. On Friday 24 October Greenlandic, Faroese, Danish and Icelandic delegates will present their respective film landscapes and one-to-one producer meetings will follow presentations of four case studies of Dagur Kári’s Fúsi (Iceland), Kenneth Kainz’s The Shamer’s Daughter (Denmark), Malik Kleist’s Qaqqat Alanngui (Greenland) and Katrin Ottarsdóttir’s Ludo (Faroe Island).
The event is supported by the Nordic Culture Fund, The Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture and Promote Iceland. Check out the programme and read more here.
Good Pitch Europe to Take On the Nordic Region
Good Pitch Europe is back, and it’s coming to the Nordic region! Hosted by the Nordic countries, Good Pitch Europe will take place on 25 March 2015 in Oslo, Norway and BRITDOC is now calling out to European filmmakers working on social and environmental justice film projects to apply.
Good Pitch brings together outstanding documentary filmmakers with foundations, NGOs, campaigners, philanthropists, policymakers, brands and media around leading social and environmental issues – to forge coalitions and campaigns that are good for all these partners, good for films and good for society.
A group of European filmmaking teams will pitch their documentary projects and associated impact campaign with the aim of creating a unique coalition around each film to accelerate its impact and influence.
They are looking for projects that both corporate and non-profit partners can collaborate on: films which tell great stories that, directly or indirectly, raise important contemporary global and national subjects and enhance our understanding of our world.
