A poetic film about riding the subway through a city. In this comfortless environment, any other person is merely a threat to one's own being; social interaction is limited to tolerating the presence of others. The journey through dark tunnels becomes an allegory for man's homelessness. Despite their isolated loneliness, the people in the tunnels face the same existential questions.
