Shaman - a visual poem - that takes us far out on the magnificent Siberian tundra. A young shaman-apprentice sets out on his first dream-walk, and on his path towards wisdom his inner voice reflects advice from his ancestors as well as from an elder guiding shaman... Shaman was filmed on the Taimyr peninsula and is dedicated to and based on the Nganasan shamanistic poetry that has travelled through centuries into the rituals as performed today.
