A film about meetings. About people of different cultures, different ages and life styles, living in the city of Stockholm. We meet them in this old city, presently a city of change: Joy is being born. Her parents are Thai and Swedish. Patricia is a schoolgirl. Her parents are Swedish and Gambian. Eric, a guitar-playing young boy was born in Hong Kong. His life style is Swedish. Oscar fled from Uruguay eighteen years ago. He now drives a cab and teaches Swedes how to dance the tango. Chilean Lina met Ingvar from Sweden late in life. They have their work in common, but disagree on the decoration of their home.
