In the Realm of the Gyrfalcon

The story of an ecologist, Dr. Ólafur K. Nielsen and his study of the gyrfalcon. The film shows two gyrfalcon pairs in North Iceland raising their chicks. One pair lives on rich land with many nests to choose from, where they can raise three or four chicks every year, but their fate is uncertain. The other pair lives on poor land. For years, they have been losing their eggs. Dr. Nielsen rebuilds their nest and next summer, the couple successfully raises two chicks.
