Tigrero - A Film That Was Never Made
The American master director Samuel Fuller returns to the rain forests where the Karaja Indians live. Fuller was supposed to shoot a film called "Tigrero" there in 1954 with Ava Gardner, Tyronne Power and John Wayne. Nothing came of the project, because the insurance company considered it too dangerous. Last autumn, Sam Fuller travelled the same route back, deep into the rain forests of the Amazon with a camera crew. In Mika Kaurismäki's documentary road movie "Tigrero", Jim Jarmusch interviews Fuller about life and films.
