Approximately 25 % of the lynx in Norway were shot and killed in the winter hunting season of 2008. Competition between hunt teams is tough. The quotas are small. Posing with a dead lynx brings respect. The film follows hunt leader Halvor Sveen and his team over two weeks before the season starts on the first of February.
