Growing up in an idyllic country next to Germany, I am aware of an uneasy silence. It is the absence of truth about my Scandinavian culture's involvement with the incomprehensible evil of trying to 'purify' cultures. Through the story of two Auschwitz survivors we descend into a devastating past that leads straight to our future.
