The violent massacres in Guatemala in the beginning of the 1980's saw the killing of more than 100.000 Maya Indians. Another 150.000 Indians fled from the country, most of them to Mexico. In 1992 the Guatemalan government granted the refugees the return to Guatemala. A Norwegian film crew followed the Mayas on their way from Mexico to their new home in Polygono Quatroze. The film crew witnessed a manifastation the whole world doubted.
