Ragnar Ypyä, or Y, was the architect of the city Vyborg, next to the Russian border. When the 1939 Winter War broke out, he started filming with an 8mm camera. A film about war and longing, based solely on unique footage shot by Y and Mirri and on their correspondence between 1938-49.
