When WWII started, Dagny Loe was a fisherman's wife in Berlevåg, Norway, with eight children. She and her husband took part in resistance actions against the Germans. Both were arrested. He was executed and she was sentenced to 15 years in a German prison. That's where she started to embroider her blanket. Just to survive.
