World of Solitude

An environmental tragedy on an epic scale is unfolding in Iceland. The last Arctic wilderness in Europe, in the lee of Europe's largest ice cap, is under massive threat from an industrial hydropower development. Environmentalists argue that this area should be designated a "World of Solitude".
