Hjalli - The Alternative Kindergarten
Hjalli - en usædvanlig børnehave
The kindergarten outside Reykjavík has a capacity of approx. 85 children. Here boys and girls are taught that all obstacles (in Icelandic: hjalli) will be overcome. The theory is meant to negate the traditional role models of boys and girls and thus make the girls more independent. Available in all Nordic languages and English.
