Young actor Christian stars as Hamlet at the Royal Danish Theatre. He falls in love with Helle who plays Ophelia but is afraid to express his feelings for her. Kissing her on stage every night, he manages to annoy the audience. But Helle falls for Christian who now has to prove his love for her.
