For most of the year, the southern Greenland coast is icebound, but behind the floes and fog is an idyllic country. For six years, Andala and Sofiannguaq and their three little girls have lived here, on a farm next to a thundering waterfall and Viking ruins. Life is tough but has purpose, and the children take part in everything and neighbours help one another.
