Cum pane

It's physically demanding work — Grandma's hands are gnarled and pained from years of hard toil. Her hands knead the dough. She works with rolling pins, brushes and traditional baking utensils. She deftly places the bread on a baking peel and pushes it into the stone oven. Grandad tends the wood fire, watching it, and blowing life into it, again and again.
