The story of Nubetya Yaptik's nomadic family in the Yamal Peninsula, in eastern Siberia from 1992 to 2001. The family father tells of a forefather who, together with his family, had to leave his home to run away from an evil deed. The memory of this deed haunted the family, which fell apart little by little, eventually losing everything. This is a documentary about a mother and a daughter, Myusena and Tatyana. The two women wander from one hut to another, from people to people, looking for their place in the tundra.
