Angels of Brooklyn

A documentary about three young Puerto Rican girls from Brooklyn between the ages of 18 and 20. Their three poor homes share a view of the Williamsburg Bridge. Every day hundreds of thousands of people cross the bridge to Manhattan in an almost endless stream. People with ambitions and directions. The three girls are facing another bridge — between dream and reality. Girls who have never been allowed to be children are soon to become adults. Growing up has been a struggle, and exhaustion and stress make it difficult for them to manage. A film about the hopes and disappointments of everyday life, and a culture trapped inside another.
