Valerie is an angry young aborigine from the Warlpiri tribe in the central Australian desert. The government has still not given back the land of her ancestors who have lived in the area for thousands of years. Valerie travels from the hot Australian desert to northern Finland, above the Arctic Circle. There, she stays with indigenous brothers and sisters in a Sami reindeer herding family. Valerie has to cross many boundaries between the two indigenous cultures on the opposite sides of the globe.
