Xiao Rong’s leopard-pattern hairstyle is different to everyone else’s in Beijing. Around him old neighbourhoods are being torn down to be replaced by skyscrapers. It is hard to keep up with the rapid change, but Xiao Rong doesn’t care — all he wants is the chance to be himself. Wang Yue longs not to be stared at.
