The daily life of women in two brothels in the slums of Bombay. Some of the women are old, some are very young; yet they have all been tricked into their business. And cheated out of a life. Vinay, a social worker, has spent ten years trying to help them, trying to save them from AIDS and give them some comfort. Although the women are outcasts, degraded and exploited, they retain some human dignity and cheerfulness — and some hope.
