An artist at the height of his career is suddenly struck by depression. He seeks comfort in the company of his friend, who is at a loss how to deal with the depressed painter. The rare part about the film is not the crisis itself, but rather the way in which the affected person uncovers its components before our eyes. The process encompasses both the person's intimate love life and his artistic quandries.
