The Boy who Wanted to Become a Bear

Eleven year-old Pablo dreams of initiation as a Bear — the chosen representative of a village, the one in contact with the gods. However, Pablo is careless at his job as a shepherd, and is therefore punished by the gods. After a consultation with the local medicine man, he is sent to work at a coffee plantation, but eventually his father comes for him. Pablo is going to participate in the annual pilgrimage to the God of the Snow Mountains, and his dream of initiation as a Bear is re-awakened.
