Göran Schildt, born 1917, writer and doctor of philosophy, published his first book in 1943. His travel books have been translated into many languages. The film »From Venice to the Nile with Göran Schildt« is a reconstruction of an 8 mm film material shot by Göran Schildt in 1953-54. This depicts a world lost for ever; an idyll from the time prior to environmental destruction, mass tourism and population explosion.
