In the summer of 1999 NATO troops advanced into Kosovo and the war crimes committed by the Serbian authorities during the ethnic cleansing could thus be investigated. Film director Maria Warsinski followed forensic pathologists and technicians in their work of identifying victims and uncovering evidence for future trials. Every day she met people who had fled persecution and massacres and had seen their loved ones taken away. Warsinski documented the grim reality of what happened in Kosovo in March-July 1999.
