In India, a woman is murdered every hour and even more girls are aborted or killed immediately after birth, simply because they belong to the wrong sex. In neighbouring Nepal, thousands of girls between 13 and 16 are kidnapped every year and taken to India where they are forced to work in brothels. Alpana, Rajamma and Anu, three young women, talk about being female in India and Nepal.
