The film takes place in Sarajevo. It was shot in autumn 1998 after four years of civil war. It tells the story of the Sarajevo Philharmonic that through their concerts gave the starved population and the musicians themselves courage to endure the horrors in a besieged city where 25.000 civilians lost their lives.
