The film is a voyage in time and space; a film about people, and their days by a river. It is a journey from the indigenous people of the wilderness to the mobile people of the city, from a nomadic society to the society of information technology. It is a story about people and their way of survival. Whether among the Sami, the settlers, the farmers, the industry workers or public sector employees the threat to survival is always present.
