Tøyen Pop-Up

An unconventional and side-eyed look at the gentrification of the Tøyen neighbourhood in the Norwegian capital, Oslo. An area that used to be poor, rough and filled with immigrant families in public housing suddenly sees rising house prices and a boom in wine-bars and second-hand shops. Those who have always lived in the area can no longer afford it. Blending documentary with fiction, the film shines a satirical light on prejudice and belonging.
