In an underground basement in Malmö, Nils Markus works with cataloguing and selling old vintage wallpapers. Some wallpapers are between 80 and 100 years old and are part of Swedish industrial history. In some years no wallpaper is sold at all, but then one day an odd order comes from a woman in Finland who wants 400 rolls of the so-called Porridge Wallpaper. This becomes the beginning of an existential ordeal for the Wallpaper Man, who doesn’t really want to let go of his wallpapers.
