Birdlife
Fuglalíf
Jóhann Óli has watched birds with all his heart and soul from a young age. He has always had an unwavering interest in photography and was the first professional bird photographer in Iceland. For half a century he has been a nature activist, and for twenty-five years he was the chairman of the Icelandic Society for the Protection of Birds, fighting, amongst other things, for the restoration of various wetlands in Iceland. Jóhann Óli has photographed birds for half a century – and he isn’t about to stop yet. We meet a unique man who has dedicated his life to birds and nature.
