“That’s a real dumb ending,” 8-year-old Julie tells her mother, having just heard her favourite bedtime story. Did the story about Tut and Tone, the little girl’s great-grand-aunts, really have to end so sadly, she thinks to herself as she drifts off to sleep. Suddenly, Julie finds herself in her aunts’ living room, together with the two lovely ladies. Is she awake, or still dreaming? Julie now hears the real story of how the balloonist Hans-Peter never showed up for his wedding with Aunt Tone. Julie decides to do something about that dumb ending.
