About eugenics and racial hygiene after the breakthrough of modern biology around 1900. The belief that it was possible to perfect the human race spread throughout the civilised world and attempts were made to put these ideas in practice. German racial hygiene concentrated on the body, while eugenics in the Soviet concentrated on the brain and intellect.
