A documentary about the old village of Särkilahti in eastern Karelia, overlapping the Finnish-Russian border. Lena is a 12 year-old Russian girl, through whose urban eyes we see the annual cycle, the everyday life, the memories and traditions of the village, as well as the cultural differences between generations and the future of indigenous Karelians.
