Tortoise in Time

A tortoise crawls across the floor. Its former owner is on the couch, very dead. The man's death has gone unnoticed by the outside world. Seasons pass and letters pile up by the door as the body slowly rots. Our tortoise is hungry, longing for freedom and going slightly mad from loneliness.
