We follow a specific car from its "birth" in Japan to Sweden. There, the car meets Reidun, an owner who takes it on a trip to Mali in Africa. After many adventures they arrive in Bamako. In a terrorist attack, many people lose their lives. The car enjoys being with Reidun. But her money is running out and they might have to go separate ways.
