This documentary follows the campaign of Gudrún Pétursdóttir, one of the candidates in the 1996 Icelandic presidential election. With neither political experience nor party backing, Gudrún and her backers attempted to present her as a successor to Iceland’s first female president, Vigdís Finnbogadóttir. This is the story of Gudrún’s campaign and her personal life for three months before and during the elections.
