How and why do we subconsciously defer to men – in particular in the workplace? Across the world, men have higher incomes and more power, and dominate the media, culture and politics. And at the interpersonal level, they even talk more than women, privately as well as in the workplace. This is in Denmark as well, even though we’ve had laws on equality for decades and consider ourselves one of the world’s most gender-equal countries.
