The Kimberley in West Australia is home to various Aboriginal communities, many of them in transition between aboriginal and Western culture, causing disorientation and distress. Best friends Gabriel and Peter try to keep the ancient cultural traditions alive while Felicity struggles to keep her family together after years of drinking and neglect. Separated teenage brothers Billy and Jordan meet for the first time and spend the days getting to know each other, exploring the outback and their culture.
