Over the last 30 years, salmon numbers in Norway have decreased from one million to half that. Wild salmon face several critical threats, one of the biggest being the escape of farmed salmon. When escaped fish spawn with wild salmon, the survival rate of their progeny decreases. The wild Atlantic salmon population is now almost at a point of no return. In the film, Kenneth Bruvik meets scientists and experts to hear about their research and insights into the life of wild salmon. Can research save the wild salmon before it’s too late?
