When Laura’s father dies she must tackle an incurable, uncontrollable grief. We become close witnesses to the inner emptiness and frustration that can follow the loss of a loved one, a feeling of an inner void that contrasts with an indifferent outside world. But Laura’s relationship with her sister Alba provides solace and love in the grief they now share. In their conversations and in feelings they find difficult to articulate, there is the fragile recognition of loss as a part of life.
