Steffan Strandberg's personal story about living with an alcoholic mother, until the night he and his little brother were rescued by their father. Through animation, live action and old super-8 footage, Steffan recreates the summer of 1980 as he remembers it as an 11 year-old. That summer, he learned to swim, his mother was admitted to hospital, his father bought a movie camera, and his favourite football team won the championship. And it was a summer when all the alcoholics in town seemed to hold endless parties in Steffan’s living room.
