Erdenchimeg (11) wants to be a famous contortionist – a speciality of Mongolian acrobats. To succeed she needs to perform a difficult exercise on one hand at the circus school. She can’t do it. The prospect of failure and letting down her team is all the more frightening because her dad is in prison, her mother is a former drunk and Erdenchimeg was admitted to the circus school only as an act of charity. Her dreams and the dignity of her family are at stake.
