The Radical Sloyds Man

Anders Jakobsen works in the field between design, art and handicraft and is considered one of Sweden’s most interesting designers. He calls his work Radical Sloyd and works under the name is Lagombra (average good). In the late 90s, while at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, Anders rebelled against the fastidious aesthetics of Swedish design, and the industry’s demand for it. He became, and remains, an outsider. For some, he is a troublemaker, but he does not provoke for the sake of provocation.
