Best friends Henny and Elvira are in their last year of high school in Norsjö, a small community in northern Sweden. At night they drive around in Henny’s shiny black Volvo, rebuilt with an underpowered motor and a top speed of 30 km/h. Henny wants to enroll at a dance school in the city, 100 km away. Elvira wants to stay in the haven she finally found in Norsjö. She applies to the local college. But applicants are so few that the school might have to close.
