Danish artist Per Kirkeby and director Jesper Jargil have created a film of humour, affection and wisdom. It charts the making of a large oil painting from virgin canvas to its hanging in a museum of modern art. Being allowed to attend this normally secret process is unique: you are invited into the most holy chamber of the heart of art to witness the very conception and birth of creation.
