A young film maker, Vala, is editing a documentary about Ragnheidur Jönsdottir, a female writer (1895-1967). Vala is obsessed with a Jönsdottir character called Thora who moves from the countryside to Reykjavik. The author comes alive in the editing suite and Vala demands answers.
