The victim was Denmark's best-selling author and prominent homosexual Christian Kampmann so the scandal was unprecedented. What went wrong? Schau was sentenced to ten years in prison, serving the time in a psychiatric hospital. Today he lives in isolation, filled with guilt for what he did.
