Stand-up comedian Jacob Nossell is spastic. He could have been ‘deselected’ by scientists and his parents long before he was born. In Jacob, the world sees a physically disabled body, not the bright person trapped inside. The film follows Jacob among family, scientists and a Royal Theatre audience. He is trying to figure out the meaning of his life and that of others like him. He is forced to recognise his own limits when he gets knocked down by his own destiny – and a number 1A bus.
